Where To Take Mum

Here's a fascinating piece of English history: Carlisle Castle, one of the oldest English castles and one of the most complete. We spent Sunday there; a bit damp but plenty to see.

Now we know that not every Mum would like this but it's a great day out for everyone (and whose Mum doesn't secretly fancy a pilot?). Sunderland International Airshow is one of the best airshows in the world and certainly has one of the best locations to hold one. Have a look.

We've just discovered this one. The fascinating Stockton International Riverside Festival or SIRF. It's on every year and is free. It all happens in and around the town centre. See if you can get your mum to have her hair done by the extraordinary Osadia (Spanish for "audacity"). Now that's a once in a lifetime experience. End of July -beginning of August.

Umm. Launching our website? That's what we've been up to. This site is so important to us. It's about you more than us. It's mostly about doing stuff for mums. We'll tell you about our mums in a while. Have a look at the site and tell us what you think.
