The 2026 Local Election Public Hustings, hosted by the Heston Action Group (HAG), took place on April 29, 2026, and was uploaded to their YouTube channel on April 30, 2026.
The event served as a platform for residents of Heston to engage with candidates ahead of the local elections on May 7, 2026. The discussion covered a wide range of local issues, including environmental concerns, accountability, and public services.
Following this hustings our fantastic candidate, Jasmine Deol, secured the highest number of votes in Heston East with 1,065, successfully winning a seat for the ward. In a significant shift for the area, Labour councillor Gurmail Singh Lal lost his seat.
Meanwhile, in Heston Central, the Labour team, including husband and wife Shivraj Singh Grewal and Janet Elaine Grewal, who stood alongside Mohammad Rasheed Bhatti, also lost their seats to the Conservative Party’s Parinoor Kaur, Salvador Antonio Jose Pereira, and Sampath Mudaliar on 08 May 2026.
In Heston West, Conservative Satwant Kaur won a seat and council leader Shantanu Rajawat came third, getting only 1,105.

And we’re in!
Our fantastic candidates, Guy Lambert, who stood with Rashid Wahab in Brentford West; Jasmine Deol, who stood in Heston East; and Rick Rowe, who stood in Chiswick Riverside with Muddassir Syed, have made history by being the first Green councillors to be elected in the London Borough of Hounslow 💚.

There is a serious "identity crisis" occurring in our ward, Syon and Brentford Lock.
Theo Dennison and David Waller appear to be playing a double game, alternating between being "Your Party" members and "Independents" whenever it proves politically convenient.
I know from contacts in Your Party that they are still members and active in the WhatsApp groups. This represents a fundamental lack of transparency regarding where they actually stand.
The last by-election on 6th March 2025 raised more questions than it answered.
Theo Dennison’s team was clearly huddling with David Kerr’s camp; ( Vice Chairman and Campaign Co-ordinator for Reform in Hounslow), meanwhile, a contact from the Socialist Workers Party in Ealing mentioned that they helped their man win.
Where exactly does he sit? Is he on the right or on the left? The voters deserve to know:
Is he a Socialist Revolutionary, a Reformer, or simply an opportunist? Is he on the left, the right, or just on whichever side gets him the most votes on the day?
