This morning I attended the Sen round table discussion. The discussion was very much needed, everyone had their experience and concerns to bring g to the table.
We are very grateful to Margaret Mullane MP who is passionate to see positive changes are made and that all send children and young adults receive the support plans and most importantly the funding to meet the individual needs of Sen children and young adults.
As a parent of a young Sen adult son, I know full well of the struggle just to obtain the basics.
Today we heard from a nursery staff member who explained that babies are coming to her attention with Send needs so early years needs to be a priority.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all those who attended, and for your contributions to the lives of all the children in our communities.
