Our Wales Region has been out in Cardiff engaging with the public, raising awareness, safeguarding communities, and standing as a visible presence for those who need protection most. But we need more people to join us.

🛡️ We Are The Shield is a national safeguarding organisation dedicated to protecting children and vulnerable people across the UK. Our mission is simple — to create safer communities through awareness, presence, prevention, and action.

We currently have teams established in both North and South Wales, but demand is growing rapidly. To expand into more towns, cities, and communities across Wales, we urgently need passionate, committed individuals to stand with us.

This is more than volunteering.
This is about making a real difference.

📍 West Midlands members recently joined forces with our East Midlands team for a public engagement exercise around West Park in Long Eaton — showing what can be achieved when communities come together to protect and support one another. 💙

The response from the people of Long Eaton was incredible. So many local residents were friendly, supportive, and genuinely grateful to see us active in their area and engaging with the community.

‘We Are The Shield’ is a national safeguarding organisation, operating within the law to help protect children and vulnerable people across our communities.

Our East Midlands team is eager to become more active on the streets regularly, helping to create safer environments and build stronger community connections throughout the region.

☀️ Another fantastic turnout from the “We Are The Shield” West Midlands team in Woodside today!

This was our FOURTH visit to the area this week following several reports and concerns raised by local residents. Today we arrived a little earlier, with two uniformed members on patrol alongside one of our newest recruits, SGK (“Shield Gun Kelly”) 💪🛡️

By concerns raised by locals our presence today was focused on reassurance, visibility, and supporting residents during school collection times and throughout the area.

The team really enjoyed engaging with the local community as parents collected their children from school, and with the beautiful weather it was a great opportunity to be out, visible, and supporting the area.

Back out on patrol tonight in Woodside, Telford.

Gaz and co are once again leading another patrol after receiving multiple reports in the area.

We Are The Shield remain dedicated to helping keep the community safe alongside the teams out on patrol. We will continue being visible in the community and responding to concerns raised by local residents.

If you witness anything suspicious or have concerns in the area, you can report it directly through our page. Communities stay safer when we work together and look out for one another.

A huge thank you from the Telford team to the residents of Woodside for welcoming us onto the estate during our continued presence in response to several reports that appear to be becoming an ongoing issue in the community.

We would also like to remind everyone that this is not vigilantism — this is safeguarding, not policing.
