Sign up for the Beddington Farmlands Big Day on Saturday the 9th of May!
The Beddington Farm Bird Group and site warden are hosting a series of guided walks throughout the day, providing an opportunity for the wider community to view areas of the site that are not currently visible from public areas.
The event starts at 5am, kicking off with a dawn chorus walk. Another five walks follow, which include one focused on butterflies and another for botany. These walks start at various times, with the final one ending around 3pm. Each walk will take around two hours.
Early May is well-known for being a great time of year for scarce and rare species of birds to be recorded on passage at Beddington Farmlands, so there is always a chance for some decent highlights on the bird walks.
This event also coincides with the Cornell Lab eBird Big Day, which celebrates World Migratory Bird Day. Our walk leaders will aim to keep a note of all species spotted and contribute to global data collection. Get involved whilst on our walks and help us try to record as many species as possible on the day!
