WATCH: George Neculaiu, strong part of our Wigmore focus team, explain why he is asking for support with our petition to restore the 100 bus service to Wigmore Lane.

A reliable local bus service is essential for getting to work, attending appointments, shopping and seeing friends and family. For residents without a car, it is vital to their independence.

Removing the 100 service from Wigmore Lane has taken away a useful transport connection. Longer walks to alternative stops and additional bus changes can make everyday journeys particularly difficult for older residents, people with disabilities and parents with young children.

We call on Arriva to:

• Restore the 100 bus service along Wigmore Lane.
• Work with Luton Borough Council and local residents to agree a practical route and timetable that meet the community’s needs.
• Provide a clear response to this petition, setting out the steps needed to reinstate the service and a proposed timescale.

Wigmore residents deserve reliable, accessible public transport. We urge Arriva to listen to our community and bring the 100 back to Wigmore Lane.

This is one of our campaign pledges we stood for during the Wigmore by-election. This is one we will honour, and fight for.

TOO MANY HMOS. ITS AN ISSUE. Join councillor Steve Stephens on Tennyson Road as he talks on how HMOS affect normal streets and neighbourhoods which were not made to have HMOS. They affect the character of a neighbourhood, cause bin issues & parking issues.
