You Said, We Listened! πŸ’¬

Thank you to everyone who came along to our recent Parish Council Surgery in Fifield earlier this month.

It was great to hear your ideas, suggestions and thoughts on how we can continue to improve our local community. πŸ’š

Here are some of the ideas residents shared with us:

🏑 More community spaces – Exploring the potential for a new community hub in Fifield, with ideas including a children's play area, walking spaces, parking and facilities for local events.

🏏 Supporting local sport – Looking into opportunities for additional cricket facilities to support children, women and disability cricket in our community.

🌿 Improving local access – Residents raised concerns about access in Oakley Green, which will be looked into further.

What happens next?

These suggestions have been recorded and will be considered or followed up with the relevant councillors and organisations where appropriate.

Not every idea can be delivered straight away, but every suggestion helps us understand what matters to our residents.

πŸ’¬ Have an idea for your village?

We'd love to hear it! Keep an eye out for our next Parish Council Surgery and come along to share your thoughts.

Together, we can help make our Parish an even better place to live, work and enjoy. πŸ’š

πŸ’š Β£230,000 AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS! πŸ’š

πŸ’‘ Have an idea that could make a difference in Bray Parish?

Bray Parish Council is inviting applications for Community Led CIL Project Funding. Helping turn local ideas into projects that benefit our community!

🌳 Whether it's improving a local facility or creating something that brings lasting benefits to residents, we'd love to hear your ideas!

πŸ’° What's the funding for?

Funding comes from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), which the Council receives from new developments in the Parish.

Projects must provide a clear community benefit, offer good value for money and meet the funding criteria.

πŸ“ Interested in applying?

It's just three steps:

βœ… Read the funding policy and check your project's eligibility.

βœ… Complete the application form.

βœ… Email your application to Rachel - [email protected]

πŸ“… Applications close: 31 January 2027

πŸ”— Full details, policy and application form:

🌟 Your idea could make a real difference to our community!

πŸ“’ Please share with local groups, organisations and anyone who might have a great idea for Bray Parish.

πŸ’‘ Please note: All project ideas must meet the funding criteria to be considered for approval. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee funding.

πŸ¦” Wildlife Watch | Helping hedgehogs this Autumn

As the weather gets cooler, hedgehogs are busy building up their reserves and looking for safe places to spend the colder months.

There are a few simple things we can all do to give them a helping hand:
πŸ‚ Leave a little cover – piles of leaves, logs and quiet corners can provide valuable shelter.
πŸ”Ž Check before you tidy – take care when moving piles of leaves or garden material where a hedgehog may be hiding.
πŸ’§ Provide fresh water – a shallow dish of clean water can be a useful helping hand.
🏑 Create a way through – small gaps between gardens can help hedgehogs move around in search of food and shelter.
πŸ”₯ Check before lighting bonfires – piles of garden material can look like an inviting place to shelter, so always check carefully first.

Small changes across our gardens can make a real difference to local wildlife.

Have you spotted a hedgehog in Bray Parish recently? πŸ¦” Let us know in the comments.

CIL Working Group – we’d like your ideas!
