For some of our tenants, struggles with mental health aren’t limited to one day on the calendar, they are part of everyday life and the challenges they face.

One of our Supported Accommodation teams hosted a Halloween Quiz night, bringing tenants together for an evening full of laughter, music, and a little friendly competition with a quiz.

The quiz was made inclusive for everyone, with multiple-choice questions and team work to encourage support and connection. One tenant even brought along a speaker to set the mood with some spooky tunes!

It was great to see everyone joining in, dressing up, and enjoying the chance to socialise. Events like this help build confidence, friendship, and a real sense of community, the heart of what supported housing is all about.

This International Women’s Day 2025, we stand with women facing some of life’s toughest challenges — from homelessness to crisis situations. This year’s theme, , is a call to act faster and do more to ensure women have access to the safe spaces and support they need to rebuild their lives.

Raising Awareness on Hepatitis C

At Quays Housing, we are dedicated to providing quality for individuals at risk of across the UK. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting The Hepatitis C Trust and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust at our Brighton scheme, and The Hepatitis C Trust in association with New Vision Bradford at our Bradford scheme. They offered free testing and shared vital information about the risks of Hepatitis C (Hep C) with both our residents and the . This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the health and well-being of those we support.

We recently held a fantastic event at our Bradford scheme to mark the start of summer. Tenants and enjoyed games, a picnic, and a walk in the park, which proved to be incredibly beneficial for all. These wellness days are vital for our tenants, many of whom face complex issues like isolation and mental health challenges.

One tenant was instrumental in organising the event, highlighting the positive impact of such activities. Currently, these events are unfunded, and we aim to create a fund to hold more regular wellness days.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. This event shows that even with limited resources, we can organise activities that significantly benefit our tenants.
