Mumful Minutes

I taught myself to quill 12 years ago when I needed a new creative outlet 🎨 and kept it up for a couple of years.
Until last weekend, I hadn’t picked up a quilling tool in 10 years, when I decided to teach my girls how to do it and dug out my old papers. I forgot how much I enjoyed it and how relaxing I find it. I need that at the moment 💕
Thanks for the competition as it has allowed me to rekindle an old passion …in the meantime, Arnold is off to a party 🥳

This morning I received an order from in a ginormous box 📦 and in the spirit of ignoring all the things I need to do for Passover we turned it into a puppet theatre 🎭 it can also be a shop, or a photo booth, or anything they want it to be 💕 I need to do stuff like this to feel productive and useful 🤷🏻‍♀️ and if in years to come my girls remember that time mummy turned a box into a puppet theatre because we couldn’t leave the house, then my job here is complete 🥰 As for the fairy lights...why the heck not?! 🤪

Today we went to the cinema style 📽 We made signs, posters and tickets 🎞 I’d definitely recommend this idea 👍🏻 next time I will probably ‘charge’ for snacks so the girls can practice money handling etc 💷 Do you have any other film suggestions for my girls? They are very very sensitive to scary stuff so the milder the better 🙈

Well this isn’t the way I expected 2020 to go! 😳 This time last week I had some major, MAJOR apprehensions about home schooling my girls 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻 but then it was thrust upon me and I’ve had to face reality 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve decided to lower my expectations and aim for health and happiness over academics 💕 But most importantly I’ve realised that this time with my girls is special. They will look back after all this passes and remember ‘Mummy School’ 🥰 So today, we drew chalk rainbows outside our house 🌈

Since my Little Lady started school she has really missed her ‘Mummy time’ 💔 Yes we spend a lot of time together but it’s usually with her sister too 👭 this week it’s half term so today when my Little Miss was in nursery we went into town and spent some quality time together 💕 She wanted to ‘look at make up and sniff perfume’ so that’s what we did 🤣 it was just perfect and I think it did us both a lot of good 🥰 When we got home, she disappeared for a while and came back with a note for me, I thought my heart would burst 💖

How have you kept your children’s brains active over the summer? My Little Lady has taken part in the and has built up an incredible 262 day streak!! I’m so proud! 🌟👏🏻

THIS WAS SO NEEDED!!!! Today after 37 days I had a precious 90 minutes of child free time 😱 37 days people!!!! I was at breaking point!!!!!! 🤯 My parents had the girls while I went to to get my eyes tested 🤓 (they are soooo lovely in there 💕) and rather than going straight back I went to and got myself a treat 🍫 If I’m truly honest, I wasn’t even hungry but I got that caramel slice because I could 💪🏼 And no one asked to go for a wee half way through 🙈 And I didn’t have to share 🤪

Goodness me Dinky Dot! How are you 3 already?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ You amaze and astound me everyday 💫 You are bright, funny and oh so feisty 💪🏼 You are the most loyal little sister out there 👭 and you definitely keep us on our toes 🙈 We love you to the moon and back and then some 💕 Happy Birthday Sweetheart 🎂
