Great evening at the preview party for Pigeon on Sheffield Street! 🍻
Fantastic venue, great beer, and a brilliant atmosphere. Always good to see local businesses thriving and adding something special to our city.
"Live slow die old" Best of luck to the team!

Good to attend tonight’s PACT (Police and Communities Together) meeting, where residents, neighbourhood police officers and local partner agencies work together to discuss community safety issues and agree local priorities.
The four key priorities identified were:
• Anti-social behaviour and drug dealing
• Rough sleeping and aggressive behaviour
• Public urination, defecation and vomiting
• Fighting and disorder
The more information residents provide, the better equipped agencies are to act. Please report issues by dialling 101, using GMP's online chat, or reporting online.
Your reports help shape local priorities and help make our neighbourhoods safer for everyone.

A lovely Manchester evening spent with the brilliant Ben Jackson, producer of the BAFTA-winning Two Black Boys in Paradise.
We chatted about creativity, community and a greener Manchester — proving that sometimes big ideas start with simply planting more plants.
I was also delighted to receive a copy of Boy Friends by Kai Spellmeier, and can't wait to start reading.
Feeling very lucky to live in a city filled with such talented, thoughtful and inspiring people.

Hot weather + busy parks = overflowing bins again ☀️🗑️
People are clearly trying to do the right thing and use the bins, but there just isn’t enough space. We see this every summer — so what’s the solution? More bins? More collections during hot weather?
Would love to hear people’s thoughts 👇

Really positive walkabout with the new member Executive Member for Environment, Clean Air and Transport, as well as local Councillors Sam and Jon-Connor. Talked about lots of my campaigns and how we can work together to deliver for local residents.

ACTION LOG: MCCFM0005
Spotted a small, but deep, sinkhole on Turner Street in the Northern Quarter, opposite the Abel Heywood, thanks to Catherine Cameron for flagging it to me. I’ve now reported it to the council so we can get it fixed.
If you spot something in the Northern Quarter that needs attention, please message me - together we can help keep our neighbourhood safe and looked after.
