You should have received your ballot paper for the NASUWT elections (Honorary Treasurer by-election, Junior Vice President & Honorary Treasurer 2026-2028). There should be a pre-paid envelope with your ballot paper. Please vote and post your ballot paper (place the ballot paper within the pre-paid envelope). The deadline is Wednesday 7th January so to be safe, please post no later than Monday 29th December. Thank you.

Please support our NASUWT North Northants Local Association Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on Thursday 6th November at The Woolpack Inn, Islip, Kettering NN14 3JU. Please contact your Local Secretary (Richard Kempa) if you plan to attend in person (to ensure you are catered for). Buffet from 5.30 pm. Meeting starts at 6pm. They are starting the first of seven days of planned strike action today after being threatened with dismissal from their jobs unless they agree to new contracts that would leave them worse off in retirement.

The Employer is seeking to withdraw from the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) and impose inferior pension arrangements.

NASUWT will always defend a teacher's right to a fair pension.
