Little Acorns Pre-School Moulton

What a lovely week at preschool we have had! The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the musical instruments and making music together. We have been practicing writing our names at the mark making table as well as our numbers. We hope that you all enjoy the beautiful weather over the half-term and we are back at preschool on Tuesday 2nd June.

Our Little Acorns have had another super busy week with lots of fun and learning! The children have really enjoyed working together to complete some giant floor puzzles. In our maths area we have been following and creating patterns using the multi link cubes-this activity helps the children develop both their fine motor and problem solving skills. Rain has stopped play outside this week a little but when we have been able to get outside the children loved exploring the hammer and ice activity. We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to another busy week before our half-term break.

This week the Little Acorns have been chefs and made the most delicious pizzas for their snacks! We spoke about why hand hygiene is so important and healthy eating as well-fun and learning at the same time! We have spent lots of time in the garden practising our hula hoop and skipping skills, making the most of the nice weather. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Ice-cream sundaes all round this week as the sun has been out and the children have been using the shaving foam and sprinkles to make their own ice-creams! Very messy but lots of fun! The Little Acorns have been getting very creative with our junk modelling activity and practising their scissor skills at the same time. We hope you all have a lovely, long weekend and we will be back to preschool on the Tuesday.

Another busy week and finally the sun has got his hat on! The children have been busy outside making their own chalk paints and potions. Inside preschool we have been exploring lots of different mark making and practicing our scissor skills as well as making lots of paper aeroplanes! We finished off the week with a picnic snack in the crocodile park. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Welcome back to all of our Little Acorns and their families! We hope you all had a lovely Easter and are ready for a busy summer term. This week we have spent a lot of time in our preschool garden enjoying the slightly warmer weather- let's hope it's here to stay! All of the children have settled well back in to preschool and we have loved hearing all of their stories from their holidays. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Our last week at preschool before our half term break has been a busy one! Lots of Easter crafting took place and we also had the photographer in to capture all the Little Acorns beautiful smiles! We are now on our Easter break and we return to preschool on Monday 13th April. We hope you all have a wonderful Easter and half term holiday!

At last, the sunshine has made an appearance! The Little Acorns have loved being outside in the garden playing in the sand trays and tipping and pouring with the water. Inside preschool the children have been busy choosing their own topping for pizzas and learning all about space and our solar system. We are looking forward to getting creative with some Easter activities next week. Just a little reminder that we break up for the Easter holidays on Friday 27th March and we return on Monday 13th April.

Our Little Acorns have been enjoying exploring our calm area this week which has lots of new sensory toys in. We also have a new trampoline that has been great for exercising on and practicing our turn taking. The children have also been busy constructing with our magnetic tiles-we've had creations from towers and castles to motorbikes! Have a lovely weekend and happy Mothers Day to all!

This week has been all about reading stories, dressing up and using our imagination-with a little bit of baking too! It's been so lovely to see the Little Acorns enjoying sharing books with each other and listening beautifully to stories. The children have really enjoyed dressing up and getting to the characters of the books we have been reading. We hope you all a lovely weekend!
