Important news - polling out today shows that a significant number of Brits want Rupert Lowe to be the next Prime Minister.

PLANS TO CONVERT WATFORD CHURCH INTO MOSQUE REJECTED

Watford Council has refused plans to convert a Grade II listed church into a mosque.

The proposal would have turned the vacant Leavesden Road Baptist Church into a Muslim place of worship.

Planning officers said the changes would cause “substantial harm” to the historic building, warning the proposals would remove or obscure much of the carefully designed and well-preserved interior.

The application has now been rejected on heritage protection grounds.

A small victory for Christianity.

Their plan would mean kicking the bishops out of the House of Lords and abolishing the CoE’s representative in the Commons

In a policy document, the Greens state that the Church of England, whose spiritual leader is Archbishop of Canterbury “shall become self-governing”.

The move would end nearly 500 years of history since the CoE was established as the nation’s church by the 1534 Act of Supremacy during King Henry VIII’s reign.
