Thank you to everyone who mobilised and united together on a cold Saturday evening to remember the women killed by men this year. We stand together but we do not stand silently - we demand change, action and a recognition that a society based on male entitlement kills our sisters. We remember women of all backgrounds, from all corners of the world who are facing violence and grieving, we mourn with you. Feminism must be global and it must be intersectional.
Thank you to all the speakers for their time and the work that they do; The Nottingham Women’s Centre, University of Nottingham Students Against Sexual Violence and Sexism, The The Notts Trans Hub, Stand Up to Racism Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Service.
