PROFILE OF CONVICTED S*X OFFENDER ALISTAIR FISHER

A veteran of the Gulf War, who relocated to Scotland and adopted a different name following a disturbing assault on a teenage girl in Liverpool, has been sentenced to prison for s*xually abusing a woman at his residence in Perthshire.

Alistair Fisher, 63 years old, repeatedly engaged in non-consensual acts upon his victim while she was unconscious and unable to give consent.

During a two-day trial at Perth Sheriff Court, a jury was told how the woman awoke to find Fisher performing a degrading s*xual act on her.

Fisher denied the allegations but was convicted, resulting in the loss of his Scone home, which was provided by the charity Houses for Heroes.

It was not disclosed during the trial that Fisher’s criminal history includes a serious indecent assault case in 1995 against a 16-year-old, which led to a jail sentence.

The prosecution recounted that the woman, now in her 50s, had befriended Fisher, a wheelchair user, and stayed at his property on Poppy Court for some time.

"He was kind to me," she said.

"He was nice.

I thought he was a good person." Their relationship included activities like swimming and evenings spent drinking Disaronno.

When asked whether any non-consensual s*xual acts had occurred, she replied affirmatively, describing waking up with her legs on the floor and Fisher performing a s*x act.

She questioned Fisher about what he was doing with his fingers, and he responded that he was using his mouth.

Court evidence revealed that Fisher, more than once, removed her clothing and engaged in s*xual pe*******on while she was asleep and unable to consent, by means unknown.

At sentencing, Sheriff William Wood told Fisher: “Throughout her testimony, the victim emphasized what a good man you were.

However, I must consider that her trust in you was betrayed by your actions, which constitute s*xual offences.” He further noted that Fisher continued to deny the offences but acknowledged that the victim described times when he was not a good person, indicating some truth.

Sheriff Wood added that Fisher, having been discharged from the army and offered support, no longer has access to those resources due to his conviction, and remarked on the end of their relationship.

Fisher received an eight-month jail term, was placed on the s*x offenders register for ten years, and a ten-year non-harassment order was applied, preventing him from contacting or approaching the victim.

In addition, Fisher, formerly of the Gordon Highlanders, was injured during the 1991 Kuwait liberation and discharged in 1993.

His 1995 offence involved a 16-year-old girl in Liverpool, whom he threatened with a pen, forced into a churchyard, and s*xually assaulted after pinning her against a wall.

Despite injuries, Fisher claimed the acts were consensual.

He pleaded guilty to kidnapping and indecent assault in 1996 and was sentenced to seven and a half years, later reduced to six and a half.

Following his move to veterans’ accommodation in Scone, Fisher adopted the name Alasdair Mac an Iasgair.

In 2019, he launched a charity canoe event across Scotland to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support after his wife's death.

His solicitor highlighted he had memory and cognitive issues linked to his lifestyle and emphasized the difference from his earlier 1995 offence, which he claimed was committed while heavily intoxicated and with no recollection of the incident.

Fisher had enjoyed a prosperous marriage until his wife’s death in 2018, which he described as a significant loss.

🚨 OPERATION BETTER — IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

TOMORROW’S PROCESSION IS BEING RESCHEDULED — NOT CANCELLED.

At approximately 5PM TODAY, we finally received the formal response from the council regarding Operation Better, which was due to take place tomorrow, Saturday 3rd October.

The order contains 17 separate conditions that we are required to ensure are fully complied with before and during the procession.

While many of these conditions are completely understandable, receiving the final requirements at this stage has left us with an extremely limited amount of time to make sure absolutely everything is properly organised.

On top of that, members of our team are currently dealing with illness, while also juggling work, travelling and young families.

Trying to rush everything together overnight would not be responsible.

We would much rather POSTPONE OPERATION BETTER and do it properly than turn up tomorrow knowing we have not had enough time to put every requirement in place.

đź“… We are therefore looking at rescheduling Operation Better.

This gives us time to continue liaising properly with:

đźš” Police Scotland
🏛️ City of Edinburgh Council
🏰 Historic Environment Scotland / Historic Scotland
🦺 Marshals, stewards and everybody else involved in making the day run safely and smoothly.

Importantly, the council’s correspondence confirms that Police Scotland have no objection to the event taking place, provided the required conditions are adhered to.

So this is NOT the end of Operation Better.

If anything, the additional time means we can make it bigger, better organised and fully compliant.

We know people have made plans to attend tomorrow and we are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience this causes. We didn’t want to postpone it, but sometimes you have to put health, family and doing things properly before trying to force something through at the last minute.

❤️ OPERATION BETTER WILL GO AHEAD JUST NOT TOMORROW✅

Once we have everything signed off and confirmed with the relevant authorities, we will publish the final arrangements.

🌹 RED ROSE UK

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST so everybody who was planning on attending tomorrow sees the update. 📢

WARRANT ISSUED FOR PERTHSHIRE BUSINESSMAN AFTER HE FAILS TO SHOW AT COURT

A 45-year-old Perthshire businessman is being sought by police after failing to appear in court, where he is facing allegations involving a woman over a period of more than two years.

Brian Deans, from Auchterarder, had been due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on August 19, but did not attend. A warrant has now been issued for his arrest, with Police Scotland confirming that inquiries are ongoing.

Deans is accused of assaulting and behaving aggressively towards a woman at a number of locations between July 2023 and September 2025.

Some of the alleged incidents are said to have taken place at the Westerwood Hotel Golf and Country Club in Cumbernauld, a luxury hotel and spa resort.

Following his failure to appear, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service confirmed that no future hearing is currently scheduled because a warrant to apprehend him was taken after the missed court appearance.

Police Scotland has also confirmed that the warrant remains in place and officers are continuing their inquiries.

Deans is reported to be a director of a property development company based in Auchterarder.

The allegations against him have not yet been proven in court, and he remains entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until convicted.

Police inquiries remain ongoing.

PERTH ALERT‼️
Convicted Domestic Abuser spotted living in Perth after relocation from Cupar.

FIFE MAN DRIVES CAR OVER GIRLFRIEND SLEEPING IN TENT
A man named David Owen, aged 21 from Fife, has been found guilty of a serious incident involving his girlfriend Louise Graham.

On the night of October 8 or 9, 2008, Owen took Graham's car without permission while they were at West Sands beach in St Andrews with friends.

During the incident, Owen drove the car over Graham while she was sleeping in a tent, causing severe injuries.

Graham described waking up feeling suffocated and burning, realizing she was under the car's wheels.

Despite her pleas for help, Owen initially refused to call an ambulance, fearing police involvement.

Instead, Graham was forced to drive herself to Owen’s home, where she was eventually hospitalized at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital with burns and other injuries requiring skin grafts.

Owen previously had convictions for housebreaking, breach of peace, and violent assaults, and was serving a four-month sentence for housebreaking.

The court proceedings are currently pending, with details of the sentence deferred for background reports.
