The Samuel Worth Chapel is a beautiful and intimate venue right in the middle of Sheffield General Cemetery and is owned by Sheffield General Cemetery Trust.

Events at the Chapel support the work we do to look after our unique historical site.

GUSH is a q***r led organisation, that aims to make burlesque more accessible for all, regardless of income. We offer free classes, including training and assistance with choreography for those interested in performing in our shows. We welcome a range of people to those who frequent sessions, to those who come to try it for the first time. Our shows highlight local art, but also pull performers from across the nation. Inclusivity and community are central to all we do.”

On 20th December, we return to our favourite venue the Samuel Worth Chapel for our third Alternative Carol Show.

We’ll be bringing new songs, old favourites and a little midwinter darkness, with support from the wonderful Baroque guitar wizard Jake Mann .

Something very special is coming to Samuel Worth Chapel 🎥🌿

From Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th October, INTERTWINING arrives at Sheffield General Cemetery as part of Sensoria Festival - a free, immersive audiovisual installation combining film, photography, glitch, soundscape, live electronics and art intervention.

Working with the biodiversity of the Cemetery and its existing archive, the installation explores the intertwining of life and death in a space where the graves of the departed are enveloped by the abundant flora and fauna of a nature reserve - where life both springs from death and co-exists with it.

It's free to attend and only here for three days, so be sure not to miss it!
