What a lovely Sunday we've had at the mill!

Lots of families for our Witch Hunt, David gained a new little apprentice, and our Doggie Ice Cream got the seal of approval from a four-legged visitor 🐾

We'll be open again tomorrow, 12-4pm!

This week's is to 1825 when Cogglesford's miller, William Peck renovated the mill into its current layout of one waterwheel, one spur wheel and two sets of stones.
Here is a print of his advert in the Stamford Mercury selling the spare equipment, as well as some of his graffiti etched in our woodwork! 🔎🔎

Ever fancied becoming a miller for the afternoon?

Our Milling Experiences give you the chance to get behind the scenes, learn how this historic watermill works and actually have a go at operating the machinery yourself.

From starting the machinery and milling the grain to producing your own white and wholemeal flour — it’s a proper hands-on afternoon.

And yes, there are tea breaks. And scones. ☕️

Milling Experiences run on the last Wednesday of each month.
