We are delighted to have conserved this wonderful set of historic post rail and chain for the people of Derby.
This set of cast posts were produced by many local foundries over the years, all now sadly lost through the passage of time.

Removing, restoring and installing them exactly as they were ordered and installed originally illustrates the dedication of our team. It done team Calibre !! Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust

Our latest challenge is to split four of these historic balustrade panels down the middle and fill the gap created with safety glass. Increasing the height to meet current building regulations too !
Hopefully we will soon pull the rabbit from the hat and produce a sample for approval in the coming weeks ! Please watch this space πŸ˜ƒ

A wonderfully executed project (see photos in the comments below) that we are incredibly proud of. We look forward to future work on this wonderful collection of buildings.
In addition to this we have forged replica hinges to new oak doors and carried out detailed surveys of a number of the very special iron windows frames.

New cast iron windows to a private listed house in Derbyshire.
The stone mullions were still present upon survey, but they were in very poor condition and needed replacement and repair. The iron windows were beyond saving, so we used the remnants to design accurate replacements using new patternwork and iron castings. Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust

We just love working at the seaside in January ! πŸŒŠβ˜”οΈβ„οΈ
The decorative spandrels and frieze (or should that be freeze) will finish the project off very nicely ! πŸ‘Œ

The cast iron balconies at 42–44 Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes, are now visible again after the hoardings were removed earlier today. πŸ™Œ

Originally built between 1887 and 1906, these historic features have been beautifully restored as part of the Cleethorpes Townscape Heritage Programme.
