A pantomime is not just for Christmas – so here’s one for the Summer!

A Comedy Theatre Group is a community theatre company based in Stourbridge and was formed to allow people with a limited experience of acting the opportunity to “have a go” in a fun and low pressure environment.

This July the group presents its second summer panto with a version of the classic story of Aladdin.

With all the usual characters - plus a few unexpected ones and slightly different storylines - A Comedy Theatre Group’s shows are always lots of fun with plenty of laughs – and not always where they are supposed to be – with lots of corny jokes, song and dance routines and are perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

Written, directed and performed by local actors with a love of community theatre.

The fun takes place at Wollaston Village Hall, Bridgnorth Road, Stourbridge on Friday 17th July, curtain up at 7pm and Saturday 18th July at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are priced at just £5.00 each and can be booked by calling 07954692593 or emailing: [email protected]

A Comedy Theatre Group is looking for two male actors,based around the Stourbridge area, to take on a variety of roles in a comedy sketch show to be performed at the Rik Mayall Festival in Droitwich on Wednesday 6th June. Reliability and commitment are vital for these roles as there is not a lot of time to put this show together now.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings in Stourbridge, and there may be a couple of extra rehearsal nights too.
Must be over 18 (for insurance purposes) and reliable with a very good sense of humour – and the ability to perform a reasonable French accent would be a bonus!
Please note this is an unpaid opportunity but will be lots of fun, and if things go well there could well be profit share shows in the future – that is the plan anyway!

Doing it again Saturday 16th May Wollaston Village Hall. Lots of laughs guaranteed and only £5.00 entry!

A Comedy Theatre Group is looking actors with a love of comedy based in and around the Stourbridge area to take part in a sketch show that is being performed on Wednesday 3rd June in Droitwich as part of the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your comedic talents and have a lot of fun.

This casting is open to anyone over the age of sixteen and we will find a role for everyone!

Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings and maybe a couple of extra nights in the run up to the show. There may also be some daytime meetings if actors are available.

The first meeting will take place at the Garibaldi pub in Clark Street Stourbridge, Thursday 30th April beginning at 6.30 pm.

Female actor required for summer panto

A Comedy Theatre Group is looking for a female actor aged between 18 and 25 to take on the role of Jasmine in our summer panto at Wollaston Village Hall.

The show takes place in mid July and rehearsals are on Monday evenings at the hall, from 7pm to 9 pm.

No experience is required as the group is aimed at people who want to “have a go” at acting in a low pressure and fun environment.

All we ask is reliability, commitment – and a very good sense of humour
