We know that we can confidently say, We Made the Right Choice! No Pay Rise!

Swindon councillors have rejected a recommended 13.3 per cent increase in their basic allowance, with council leaders saying a pay freeze is the “moral and financially prudent” choice.

Please Don’t Speed. Good to see the police doing the speed checks in West Swindon.

Please drive responsibly.

Along with Cllr Suresh Gattapur - Westlea & Shaw, Swindon - and Cllr Keith Williams - Shaw Swindon we have requested for speed checks in West Swindon.

Thanks to the Police Team.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out across the community this week conducting proactive speed awareness at a number of locations.

During these checks, officers engaged with motorists to promote safer driving and help improve road safety for all road users. Several vehicles were stopped during the day, with drivers who were found to be travelling slightly above the speed limit receiving words of advice and education around the importance of adhering to speed restrictions.

In addition, officers identified and dealt with vehicles being used unlawfully. Traffic offence reports were issued for vehicles found to have no valid road tax and no MOT, helping to ensure that vehicles on our roads meet the required legal and safety standards.

These patrols not only address traffic-related concerns raised by the community but also provide a valuable police presence, increasing visibility and offering reassurance to local residents.

Here Comes Winter!

Last Night at the I asked the Deputy Leader Cllr Jake Chandler - St Andrews on the steps being taken to ensure more footfall at the Country Parks in Winter.
How fortunate we are to have such fantastic country parks in Swindon.

I further asked a supplementary question on, the Public Toilets in the Country Parks and asked him to come to to meet park goers, and assess the conditions and give it priority.

She should be In Charge! Kemi Badenoch is what UK needs.

17/10/2026

Good that Kemi Badenoch is challenging Labour on this.

“A Labour government taking money away from Conservative-run councils to hand it to their own is like financial gerrymandering. And it’s ordinary people who will pay the price in higher council tax and worse services, through no fault of their own.”
