We're excited to announce the return of Christmas in the Town Gardens! Join us on 12th–13th and 19th–20th December, 12pm–4pm, for two weekends of festive family fun! 🌟

Enjoy live music, food stalls, craft activities and plenty of entertainment; including Santa, fairground rides, stilt walkers and circus skills. 🧑‍🎄

Explore our brand-new interactive sculpture trail, Written in the Trees, or join Mrs Claus for festive cookie decorating and reindeer food making! 🎀

We didn’t win 5 awards at this year’s Britain in Bloom on our own…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Over 33 community groups are growing for gold in South Swindon. On Thursday 29th, we celebrated together and recognised the fantastic achievements and contributions.

South Swindon has the most community gardening groups in the whole of the South West, and we are extremely proud. Thank you to all of the volunteers, gardeners and supporters for making South Swindon such a blooming beautiful place to live.

Old Town Christmas Lights: Installation Starts This Evening

From this evening (Monday the 2nd of November), our contractor will begin installing the Old Town Christmas lights. Work is expected to take approximately a week.

To minimise traffic and disruption, work on the highway will take place overnight. We understand this may cause some slight noise for nearby residents, and apologise for any inconvenience.

Streets affected:
📍 High Street
📍 Devizes Road
📍 Wood Street
📍 Victoria Road
📍 Newport Street

To help keep noise down, the team will be communicating by radio. Any work away from the highway will take place during normal working hours.

The Old Town Christmas lights are enjoyed by thousands of people every year, and we're looking forward to bringing them back for the community this Christmas.

Join us on Wood Street and Victoria Road for a Christmas market, funfair, live music, festive food stalls and family entertainment, all building up to the big countdown when the lights are switched on!
