Some people from our Thornaby service decided to head to Hollywood Bowl at Teesside Park, where they enjoyed two games of bowling followed by some time in the arcades🎳🎮

Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed being out together! 😊💚

The team in Jarrow brought a little bit of summer to the garden with a fantastic seaside-themed day!

Over 20 people from different services joined them for a day of fish and chips, ice cream, quizzes, bingo, scavenger hunts, raffles and plenty of fun 🍦🎣

Everyone enjoyed taking photos with their seaside photo boards, getting involved in the activities and spending time together. There were lots of smiles, laughter and friendly competition throughout the day! 😊

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the day and to everyone who came along and made it such a success 💚

Tracey told the team she wanted to explore somewhere new and find wheelchair-accessible places to enjoy some time outdoors.

After looking through different options, Tracey chose Leazes Park in Newcastle for an adventure. She was excited to travel by bus and Metro! Being on the Metro ended up being one of her favourite parts of the day!🚇😊

Tracey enjoyed relaxing by the lake and watching the birds. Before grabbing some lunch and having a look around Primark and Eldon Square.

It was lovely to see Tracey leading the day, making her own choices and enjoying a trip based around the things she wanted to do. 💚

One of our services in Thornaby has recently started having different activity nights in and everyone agreed on having a Takeaway Night which had people choosing their favourite takeaway and enjoying spending time together.

A lovely way to enjoy a Saturday night! 💚

Michelle enjoyed a lovely day out in Redcar after getting the bus from Thornaby.

She enjoyed looking around the shops, having lunch at Wetherspoons and visiting the Zetland Boat Museum. She also had a walk along the pier and seafront before the bus back to Thornaby.

Michelle had a lovely day and really enjoyed being out and about! 😊💚

💚 Rebekah’s BBC Children in Need Story 💚

Rebekah from North Tyneside, was recently invited to a special BBC Children in Need supporters’ day at Quay House in MediaCity, Salford, to celebrate the difference supporters make.

Back in November 2024, Rebekah took on the challenge of swimming 100 lengths at her local swimming baths, raising over £500 for BBC Children in Need. 🏊‍♀️👏

It was wonderful to see her hard work recognised, and Rebekah was proud to attend the event and hear how donations help children and young people.

Rebekah is now taking on another swimming challenge to raise money for BBC Children in Need! 💪🏊‍♀️

Heather, Norman, Gary and Eric headed out to support the runners at the Great North Run, along with some family and friends.

They had a great time waving everyone on and cheering as the runners passed by. Eric was especially proud to see his niece taking part and completing the run! 👏

They also enjoyed seeing all the amazing costumes worn by runners representing different charities and making the most of the sunshine. ☀️
