Notice: Dead Seal in a stream in Perranporth
We would like to make residents aware that a dead seal has been found in the stream.
The Parish Council is aware of the situation and has been in contact with the appropriate people to arrange for its safe removal.
As the seal’s remains must be treated as potentially hazardous waste, it is important that they are collected, handled and disposed of correctly by the appropriate professionals.
In the meantime, please do not enter or bathe in the stream, touch the seal, or allow children or dogs near it.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation while the necessary arrangements are made.

Neighbourhood Priorities Statement (NPS) Update
The consultation date for the Local Plan/NPS Resident Survey has been extended until 9 November to allow more time for responses to be submitted. If you haven't already completed the survey we would appreciate you taking the time to do so.
Cornwall Council is encouraging all Town and Parish Councils to produce a Neighbourhood Priorities Statement (NPS) to help shape the new Cornwall Local Plan.
Perranzabuloe Parish Council has committed to preparing an NPS for our parish. This document is produced by a local council, working with its community, to set out local priorities for growth, change and investment in their area over the longer term.
Please click on the link below to access the survey or visit our website for further details.
Together, we can help shape the future of Perranzabuloe Parish.

Introduction We want to hear from you about housing and life in Cornwall. Cornwall will need to deliver more homes, business spaces and infrastructure over the coming years, and we know this raises important questions and concerns for many local people. By taking part

The Parish Council would like to announce that Linda will be leaving the Library at the end of November to begin a well-earned retirement.

Linda has managed the Library since July 2019 and has made a valued contribution throughout that time. Most recently, Linda oversaw the significant task of relocating the Library from its former premises to the new Boscawen Road library, helping to ensure a smooth transition into its new home.

The Parish Council would like to give our thanks to Linda for all the hard work, commitment and support given to the Library and its community over the years. It wishes Linda every happiness and all the very best for a long and enjoyable retirement.

For those interested in applying for the Library Manager position, or if you know someone who would like to apply, please share this post.

Update from Cornwall Council on Storm Austin.
A quick update on the Council’s response to Storm Austen.

We are continuing to work closely with National Grid, Cormac and other partners to deal with the impacts across Cornwall.

As of 9.43AM there are currently just under 15,000 properties without power. National Grid has additional teams working to restore supplies and is prioritising vulnerable customers.

A number of roads remain affected by fallen trees and downed power lines, so our advice to residents is still to take care and only travel where necessary and safe to do so.

You can check the Council’s website and social media channels for the latest updates using the links below:

The strongest winds are now beginning to ease, but further bad weather is expected over the weekend, so we will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with partners to keep communities safe.
