We are warning residents to look out for cold callers operating in the local area offering to carry out roof work.

These individuals are knocking on doors uninvited, claiming to have spotted loose tiles, or urgent roof damage while passing by. These scams typically involve high-pressure sales tactics, vastly inflated prices, and substandard or entirely unnecessary work.

❌ DO NOT USE THEM. Be very very wary having work done by anyone who turns up at your door unannounced, and never hand over cash upfront.

Tips to stay safe:
• Just Say No: It is your home and your doorstep. You are well within your rights to say no and close the door.
• Don't Be Scared: Rogue traders often use scare tactics to make you think your roof is dangerous. Don't fall for it—always get a second opinion from a reputable company.
• Watch Out for Others: Please share this warning with elderly or vulnerable neighbors and relatives who are often targeted by these doorstep criminals.

Joint visit with Willenhall Police yesterday: 1, Illegal stash: 0. 🚓❌
West Midlands Police

A collaborative visit resulted in the seizure of a quantity of prescription drugs and unregulated chewing to***co. 2 males arrested for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

A quick reminder: these products require strict regulation to ensure public safety, and bypassing these legal channels carries serious consequences. 🌿🛍️

A polite reminder to local unregulated pharmacies: Trading Standards and the Police are often a package deal. If you're selling unregulated meds or illicit to***co, we will come to check out your inventory. And spoiler alert—we don't leave a tip.

Day 2 has landed at Walsall Hub(Central Library) of free electric blanket testing.

50% of blankets tested have failed already this morning, including Mrs Sidhu's, however she was very pleased with the free king size replacement. Pop along before 3 to get yours tested.

Partner agencies in attendance today include Be Well Walsall, and representatives from Walsall Council's energy Team, and the WEAP team (Walsall Energy Action Project).
