πŸš” ANOTHER VEHICLE SEIZED IN SILLOTH!
Officers from Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have seized another vehicle from a residential street in Silloth.
πŸš— Following checks, the vehicle was found to have no insurance, no valid MOT and had been declared SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification).
The registered keeper was present during the recovery and was understandably unhappy with the decision. However, officers have a responsibility to enforce the law and take appropriate action to keep our roads and communities safe.
⚠️ A REMINDER TO VEHICLE OWNERS
Declaring a vehicle SORN means it must be kept off public roads. Vehicles kept on public roads must be legally taxed and insured, unless an exemption applies.
Our message is simple: Keeping a vehicle on a public road comes with responsibilities. Ignoring them could result in your vehicle being seized.
Allerdale NPT will continue to carry out proactive checks and take enforcement action where necessary.

Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team have secured a further anti-social behaviour injunction against a Workington family for their persistent anti-social behaviour and violence.

Three anti-social behaviour injunctions were sought in 2025 due to the family terrorising the community of Westfield and surrounding areas. Since then, their behaviour has continued and further injunctions were applied for at Workington County Court.

An injunction was secured for an additional 12 months against Stephen Weaver, 50, of Workington after his behaviour continued following the expiry of his initial injunction which was issued in 2025.

Additionally, on the 1 July 2026 a further injunction was secured until the 30 September 2027 against Lauren Weaver, 29 of Workington following an appearance at court after breaching her initial injunction.

Furthermore, on the 16 June 2026 an injunction was secured for an additional 12 months against Reece Weaver, 27 of Workington following an appearance at court after breaching his initial injunction where he was given a 4-week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months.

The injunctions include conditions prohibiting the individuals from:

- Engaging in conduct which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress.
- Using insulting language towards, or threatening violence against any person.
- Causing any person to fear the infliction of harm.
- Harming any person through the direct application of force.
- Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a public place.
- Having an open container of alcohol in a public place.

In addition, Lauren Weaver and Reece Weaver are prohibited from:

- Engaging in conduct which causes, or is capable of causing, nuisance or annoyance to residents and lawful visitors to the Westfield Estate area.
- Entering any private land or garden without the occupier's express permission.
- Police will not tolerate behaviour that causes fear, distress or harm within our communities and continue to work with partner agencies to address anti-social behaviour.

Anyone who witnesses a breach of these injunctions is urged to report it to Cumbria Police by calling 101 or reporting online here: https://orlo.uk/n3PnB

Information can also be reported anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
