The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, 𝗢𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗶 𝗜𝗜, 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗺, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 to deliberate on measures aimed at preserving peace, security, and harmony within the community.

Discussions centered on dialogue, unity, and the need for all parties to continue pursuing peaceful and lawful approaches towards resolving the dispute.

MUSEC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stability across the Municipality and expressed appreciation to all participants for their cooperation and dedication to peacebuilding efforts in Adamorobe.

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly held a second attempt on 20th May 2026 to elect a Presiding Member, following an earlier unsuccessful attempt.

No candidate attained the constitutionally required two-thirds majority needed for election.

The election has therefore been adjourned for 10 working days to allow for consultations and fresh nominations.

The structure, which had been abandoned and left unused for nearly five years, had gradually been taken over by squatters, leaving the facility in a deteriorated and unhygienic condition.

Following an inspection, the MCE directed the immediate evacuation of occupants and ordered urgent renovation works to restore the facility for official Assembly use.

The move forms part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly to reclaim and protect public properties while improving service delivery across the Municipality.

The announcement was made during an engagement between the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly and the Pakro community, where 𝗔𝗺𝗯 𝗡𝘁𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲, 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗖𝗘 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The establishment of an SHS in Pakro has been a key request by the Chiefs and residents during engagements with the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly and the Municipal Chief Executive. In anticipation of such an opportunity, the community had already allocated and reserved over seven acres of land for the project.

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗶, 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗯. 𝗡𝘁𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗼, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve educational infrastructure and create brighter opportunities for the youth across the Municipality.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗸𝘂𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟯𝟴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟰𝟬 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Supervised by the District Electoral Officer, Afua Asomaning Korankyewaa, candidates were required to secure at least 27 votes (two-thirds of the full Assembly) to be elected.
