CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.), graced the joint graduation ceremony of Senior Command and Staff Course 45 and the Master of Science Degree in Defence and International Politics Class of 2024 in Accra.

The ceremony celebrated the 98 graduates, comprising 68 Ghana Armed Forces officers, 30 officers from 16 allied countries, and 14 representatives from sister security services, among which had 2 Immgration Officers, media organizations, and corporate bodies.

H.E. Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, presided as the guest of honor.

Alhaji Nunu Alhassan Dicko emerged as the overall best student as well as best in dissertation.

A two-day cybersecurity awareness training program is currently underway in Accra, attended by 100 officers of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) selected from the National Headquarters, Greater Accra, Tema, and the Kotoka Regional Commands.

The program is organized by the International Centre for Migration Development (ICMPD) in collaboration with GIS, and funded by the Danish Government through the SMMIG Project."

The Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI), Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq.), graciously participated in the Empowerment and Leadership lecture organized by the University of Ghana Graduate Students' Association (GRASAG) Chapter Executives in Accra.

The lecture, featuring a keynote address by the esteemed Okyenhene, His Royal Majesty Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin was titled "Transformational Leadership in Contemporary Ghana."

The event was presided over by the Registra of the University of Ghana, Professor Rosina Kyeremanten

This lecture coincided with His Majesty's 25th Anniversary celebrations.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration Service, Lawyer Kwame Asuah Takyi, and some members of the National Immigration Management Committee paid a visit to the Director-General (DG) of Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Michael Luguje, to engage in discussions relating to matters of mutual interest to both organizations.

Also, the CGI and his team, accompanied by the DG GPHA, visited the Chief Executive Officer of the Meriden Port Services, Mr Muhammed Samara who did a comprehensive presentation to bring the team up to speed on their activities.

The team was taken on a tour of the Meriden Port after the presentation to gain more insight into their activities.
