Advisory on Embassy closure

The Philippine Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria informs the public of the opening of the nominations for the Presidential Awards for Outstanding Overseas Filipinos (PAFIOO).

The awards recognize overseas Filipinos and organizations making meaningful contributions to their communities, professions, and fields of service. Eligible nominees include overseas Filipinos worldwide — including migrant workers, permanent residents abroad, dual citizens, descendants of Filipinos, and former Filipinos — as well as qualified foreign individuals and organizations under specific award categories. There is no age limit for individual nominees, and both individuals and organizations with at least five (5) years of proven contributions may be nominated.

The public is encouraged to participate in recognizing excellence, service, and global Filipino achievement by submitting nominations for deserving individuals and organizations who continue to uplift the Philippines and the Filipino community worldwide.
