Today, on International Nurses Day, we celebrate the compassion, sacrifice, dedication and hard work of our nurses across the country. From remote and underserved communities to busy health facilities, our nurses continue to serve with courage and commitment, often under challenging conditions, to ensure that quality healthcare reaches every Ghanaian.

The Ghana Health Service proudly honours and appreciates every nurse for the invaluable role they play in saving lives, comforting families, strengthening our health system, and building a healthier future for our nation.

Ayekoo to all our nurses. Your service, care and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

Mental health challenges are real, and no one should suffer in silence because of fear, judgment, or stigma. This Mental Health Awareness Month, let us create a culture of understanding, compassion, and support where people feel safe to speak up and seek help. Let’s break the stigma surrounding mental health by listening without judgment, encouraging open conversations, and showing care to those who may be struggling.

Every voice matters, and every act of kindness can make a difference.
