A delegation from China's Ministry of Public Security – Criminal and Investigations Office, led by Mr. Liu Chinjie, paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Mr. Samuel Bassintale Amadu, to discuss avenues for enhanced cooperation.

The two parties deliberated on strategies to effectively manage the activities of Chinese nationals in Ghana, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and ensuring mutual benefits for both countries.

During the engagement, Mr. Chinjie extended an invitation to the GIS for specialized cybersecurity training in China. The training seeks to boost the Service’s technical capabilities in cybercrime prevention and investigation, reflecting both nations' commitment to collaborative approaches in safeguarding digital and physical borders.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Samuel Amadu Basintale, hosted the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Dr. Mary Awusi, and her Deputy, Mr. M***a Hamidu, at the GIS Headquarters.

The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions to better serve investors and support Ghana’s industrialization agenda. Dr. Awusi was accompanied by key staff from the Authority, and the discussions highlighted shared commitment to improving efficiency and investor relations.
