MEDEVAC czech programme is not only about Czech doctors travelling to Ghana. It is also about Ghanaian healthcare professionals coming to Czechia to learn, share experience and build lasting professional ties. 🩻🩺

We are proud to see medical staff from Cape Coast Teaching Hospital heading to Prague for a plastic surgery study stay at Fakultní nemocnice Královské Vinohrady under the MEDEVAC programme of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic (Ministerstvo vnitra). 🏥⭐

Together with Czech medical missions in Cape Coast and Tamale, these professional exchanges help strengthen local capacities, deepen expertise and improve care for patients over the long term. That is the true value of partnership. 🇬🇭🤝🇨🇿

At the residence of the Czech Ambassador, we were pleased to host yet again a gathering of former Ghanaian students who studied in Czechoslovakia in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and later in Czechia and Slovakia. 🇨🇿🇸🇰

Studying abroad gave them a unique opportunity to experience local culture, people, customs and everyday life. 💬🎓

After returning to Ghana, they went on to become respected members of society — doctors, engineers, scientists and other highly skilled professionals. ⭐💼

Their stories reflect resilience, adaptability and determination. They also remain a living bridge between Ghana and Czechia. This meeting was a celebration of friendship and a reaffirmation of the lasting bonds built through education. 🇨🇿🤝🇬🇭

Today we commemorate the 84th anniversary of Operation Anthropoid – an extraordinary act of courage by Czechoslovak paratroopers who stood up to N**i tyranny and made history in the fight for freedom.

Their legacy lives on. We remember the courage and strong bond between the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, which was forged during a difficult time in European history.

Czech Minister of foreign affairs Petr Macinka met on Sunday in Prague with his Ghanaian counterpart, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. For the Czech Republic, Ghana is a key partner in West Africa. The meeting followed on from successful political consultations held in April.

We aim to further deepen cooperation in the areas of security, healthcare, transport, and water management. Czechia and Czech companies have long been very well received in Ghana—not only thanks to the quality of their products and services, but also because our country is not burdened by a colonial past. 🇨🇿🤝🇬🇭
