Theory met practice during last week’s HBC training workshop.

Participants gained hands-on experience in nursery bed preparation and drip irrigation installation under the guidance of industry experts from Holland Greentech Ghana.

These practical experiences are helping shape the next generation of agribusiness innovators.

HBC participants recently took part in an exciting training workshop at the Defarmercist Center of Excellence.

The facility tour offered valuable exposure to greenhouse technology, modern horticultural systems, and solar-powered irrigation solutions.

A strong step forward in practical agricultural innovation.

The 2026 Horticulture Business Challenge is currently in its fourth and fifth weeks, and the progress made by participants across their assigned business cases has been truly impressive.

One participant shared:

“So far, my HBC experience has been nothing but spectacular. I did not expect the internship to be this hands-on. I get to solve real business problems, learn new skills, and put into practice the knowledge I gained in school.”

These milestones highlight the programme’s commitment to equipping young professionals with practical, hands-on experience while supporting businesses to solve real challenges in the horticulture sector.

We look forward to seeing participants continue to grow, learn, and deliver impactful solutions as the programme progresses.

The 2026 GNBCC Women in Business Mentorship Programme continued with its second workshop at Airport West Hotel, where mentees explored two powerful foundations for business success: mental wellbeing and branding & marketing.

The workshop featured expert-led sessions from Brain Fitness Center Africa on building mental resilience, alongside practical brand strategy insights from Barbara Davies and Fatima Alimohamed.

Participants left equipped with valuable tools to strengthen their mindset, refine their brand identity, and better connect with today’s evolving African consumer.

We are excited to see how these lessons will shape their entrepreneurial journey.

At the upcoming Annual General Meeting on Friday, 19th June 2026, GNBCC members will elect four new Directors to serve on the Board for the 2026–2028 term.

Serving on the Board is an excellent opportunity to help shape the Chamber’s strategic direction and strengthen business ties between Ghana and the Netherlands.

Eligibility Requirements:
✔ Senior employee, officer, director, or shareholder of a GNBCC member company in good standing
✔ Company must have held GNBCC membership for at least one year
✔ Demonstrated commitment to GNBCC activities
✔ Proven leadership ability
✔ Capacity to represent the diverse GNBCC membership

• Letter of Support signed by your company’s CEO or Board Chairperson
• Statement of Interest
• CV or professional bio
• Recent passport-sized photograph
