🚀 Exciting progress is underway in Sierra Leone as preparations for the implementation gather momentum. The government is actively conducting an implementation readiness assessment, updating the national trade strategy, and enhancing skills within the public and private sectors.
🎯 On February 11-12, Freetown hosted a significant gathering of experts who contributed technical insights and validated the draft implementation assessment, which assesses the country's adherence to AfCFTA commitments, focusing on the Protocol on Trade in Goods. A team of experts from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat oversaw the validation process.
🤝 The EU and its Member States proudly support these transformative endeavors through the EU-TAF Support to the AfCFTA program.

🚀 Wrapping up an impactful 3-day workshop in Dakar, Senegal! 🇸🇳

The CCR UEMOA hosted the second workshop in a three-part series, focusing on key areas such as Non-Tariff Barriers ( ), Standards, Quality, Labeling, and Certification.

The 6th Prosperity Africa Chambers & Business Expo was held 25 - 26 in Addis Ababa, 🇪🇹
Organised by the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry - PACCI and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, the conference brought together industry experts, policymakers, and innovators to explore African trade and technology prospects within the African Continental Free Trade Area ( ). Key themes encompassed Digital Transformation, AI, Green Business, and sustainability.
In his opening remarks, Gianluca AZZONI, the Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to the African Union, highlighted that Business is the driving force behind economic integration. It can't be imposed from the top down but thrives with the participation of all.
