My Working Visit with the GPHA Board to Key Port and Health Facilities
On Wednesday, 21st January 2026, I had the privilege of joining the Governing Board of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), led by our Chairman, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, on a working visit to the James Town Fishing Harbour, Tema Fishing Harbour, and selected GPHA health facilities, including the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH).
The visit formed part of our efforts as a Board to familiarise ourselves with on-the-ground operations and gain firsthand insight into the activities, challenges, and opportunities within these critical units. Engaging directly with management and staff allowed us to better appreciate their work and identify areas where policy direction and investment can further strengthen efficiency, safety, and service delivery.
As a Board Member, this experience reaffirmed my commitment to contributing meaningfully to decisions that will enhance port operations, improve the welfare of workers, and ensure that Ghana’s ports and maritime health facilities continue to support national development and economic growth.

My Commitment to Safety and Education in Ablekuma Central
Today, I was honoured to join the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah, to officially unveil two important projects that speak directly to the heart of our development agenda in Ablekuma Central — the IBE Footbridge and the renovated 12-unit classroom block at the Salvation Army Cluster of Schools, Lartebiokorshie.
These projects are more than infrastructure; they are about protecting lives and securing the future of our children. The IBE Footbridge will greatly improve pedestrian safety and accessibility, especially for schoolchildren and residents who use this route daily. The renovated classroom block restores a legacy school facility and provides a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
I am deeply grateful for the strong collaboration with the Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly and the leadership of Hon. Frank Nkansah. Together, we are proving that when leadership works in unity, development becomes real and visible. I remain fully committed to championing initiatives that promote education, safety, and community wellbeing for every resident of Ablekuma Central.
