The National ICT Regulator ... Regulating ICT for a digitalised Ghana An Act, Act 771 was passed to mandate it to regulate ICT and to offer related services.

The National Information Technology Agency was established to implement government’s ICT policy initiatives and regulate ICTs. The object of the Agency as mandated by the Act (section 2) is to;

1. Regulate the provision of information communications technology.
2. Ensure the provision of quality information communications technology
3. Promote standards of efficiency.
4. Ensure high quality of service.

The rescheduling is to allow for broader participation and a more engaging conversation on the issues being raised regarding the Bill and the fees and charges.
The Hon Minister is convening this round Table in conjunction with the Management and Board of Directors of NITA.
