Metro Mass Transit Ltd- MMT

A public bus company is operative in Ghana ever since the The Ominibus Service Authority (OSA) started their operations in the year 1927.

The OSA contributed a lot to the Ghanaian society in terms of public transport; however, amongst other companies, the OSA assets have been put into divestiture in 1995 MMT was conceived as an idea of the Honorable President Kufour who spoke of the need of introducing a Mass Transit Bus system in the cities of Ghana at his inauguration speech on January 7th 2001. MMT was established in October 2003, with the Government of Ghana having 45%, the remaining 55% being held by private investors.
