📢 Post-Event Update: Successful NANS General Assembly (2025/2026 Administration)

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) proudly announces the successful hosting of its first General Assembly for the 2025/2026 administration, held at Zenith University.
The assembly brought together Nigerian students from various institutions for an engaging and impactful session focused on unity, leadership, and student welfare.
A key highlight of the event was the interactive session with an Immigration Officer, who addressed several pressing issues Nigerian students are currently facing — including documentation, residence permits, and immigration compliance. The session provided much-needed clarity and guidance.

We also had an insightful engagement with UBA Bank, where representatives explained how Nigerian students can conveniently operate their Nigerian UBA accounts while studying in Ghana, and how to send money seamlessly from Nigeria to Ghana. This was a highly beneficial session for all attendees.
During the assembly, Comrade Sunday Abraham from Regional Maritime University was appointed as the Speaker of the General Assembly, while Comrade Adeyemi from KAAF University was appointed as the Deputy Speaker — marking the beginning of a strong and visionary leadership team for the new administration.
Furthermore, the assembly deliberated on NANS due payments, and members collectively agreed on a standardized amount to ensure transparency, consistency, and smooth administrative operations across institutions.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every student who attended and made the event a remarkable success through active participation and positive energy.
We also deeply appreciate the schools that released their buses to convey students to and from the venue — your cooperation truly reflects the unity and solidarity that NANS stands for.
Together, we move forward — One Voice, One Body, One Purpose.

As part of activities marking the 65th Independence Anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the National Association of Nigerian Students – Ghana Chapter (NANS-GH) paid a courtesy visit to Achimota Basic School in Accra to donate essential school items. The outreach was organized under the inspiring theme “Education Is a Right, Not a Privilege,” reflecting the association’s strong belief that every child deserves equal access to quality education, regardless of background or circumstance. The visit served as both a celebration and a call to action — to reaffirm the role of education as the foundation of national growth and empowerment.
