In order to make Lokhanda accessible to women, children and people of all ages and abilities, Lokhanda gives individuals, professionals, parents, teachers, group leaders, managers, administrators and employers to arrange and organize workshops for their family, class, school, club, business, organization, congregation, caregivers and friends.
Organizers communicate their priorities with respect to date, time, location, cost, participants and we tailor services to fit their respective needs which includes Seminars and Workshops ranging from 60 mins, 90 mins and 2 - 5 hours in length sections.
Services / Training programs
Lokhanda curriculum for teaching, research and community engagement programs spans all aspects of safety from awareness to prevention management. Our School and prevention curriculum creates a culture of safety and security for all educational institutions to teach simple effective means of prevention, escape and survival techniques. They are designed to be practical, fun and appropriate for a co-ed physical education class with an average class size of 40 with a 60-90 minute class period.
Lokhanda training services could be divided into our 4 main core innovative workshops themed Lokhanda Women Empowered Program- (for Only women and girls), Lokhanda Kiddy Safety Program (for Children between age 4-17 and Young adults between age 18-35 (Both boys & girls)), Lokhanda Corporate Self-defense (for only workers) and Lokhanda Community Safety campaign. Training Fees / Cost
As a non-profit organization, Lokhanda fees for services reflect our break-even service cost which covers clients tailored needs assessment; guidance with organizing; the workshop itself; and follow-up safety support.
Services are adapted for participants’ different hearing, vision, mobility, or cognitive abilities. Actual rates vary based on workshop length, group size and distance outside our primary service areas and ranges from Gh¢300 and above per workshop or seminar.
Organization Background
Lokhanda was founded in 2010 by Mr. Lord Kwadjo Andoh as a non-profit organization based in Ghana, Africa, dedicated to creating awareness, providing educational and physical self-defense training skills to empower people of all ages and abilities particularly women and children against abuse and other violence such as bullying, harassment, sexual assault, r**e, relationship violence and stalking.
Lokhanda, a global leader in self-defense services for the vulnerable in society offers a wide range of workshops, seminars and consulting services in group settings as well as private sections to children, women, families, organizations, schools, corporate bodies, community services and law enforcement agencies; and has since empowered thousands of people including special needs both locally and globally to build confidence, establish day-to-day safety awareness skills, boundary settings, physical self defense and positive communication skills.
Our training programs teaches everything from simple de-escalation techniques all the way to deadly force techniques for worse case scenarios and are adapted to the needs and capacities of people with disabilities to increase their sense of personal power to help defend their rights and fulfill their full potential.
History of Success
Over the past few years, Lokhanda has successfully partnered and empowered thousands of people and organizations including the special needs both locally and internationally.
