We are excited to launch our Stakeholder Spotlight Series, celebrating the individuals and partners whose contributions have strengthened KAIPTC’s growth and global impact in peace and security. We begin with the remarkable legacy of H.E. Kofi Annan, whose name our Centre proudly carries. As the first African UN Secretary-General and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Kofi Annan transformed global diplomacy, advanced human rights, and redefined international peacekeeping through visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to humanity.

His gracious permission in his lifetime for the Centre to bear his name reflected his belief in Africa’s leadership in global peace and security-a belief that continues to inspire our work today. His principles of courage, humility, justice, and compassion guide KAIPTC’s mission as a trusted hub for training, research and policy engagement across the continent.

As we launch this series, we honour his enduring global legacy and reaffirm our commitment to the peaceful world he envisioned.

Pupils from Healthy Mind International School had an exciting educational visit to the KAIPTC, where they gained valuable insights into the Centre’s role in promoting peace, security, leadership, and peacebuilding across Africa.

The pupils also toured the Centre’s facilities, experiencing first-hand the environment where training, research, and collaboration for peace take place. The visit inspired teamwork, discipline, unity, and peaceful coexistence, making it a truly enriching and unforgettable experience for the future leaders of tomorrow.
