Last week in the Kpoviadzi Electoral Area, the Fafali Organization, in partnership with the The Vineyard Foundation, hosted an inspiring Teachers Summit for 50 teachers in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The session was facilitated by Barry Euquan Knighton, President of Vineyard Foundation and Professor at the University of South Carolina, focusing on knowledge exchange, innovation, and improving teaching and learning.

At Fafali, we are teaching children to love, protect, and take responsibility for their environment through our Environmental Club activities. We believe the leaders of tomorrow must learn better habits today so they can create cleaner, healthier, and stronger communities in the future. 💚

Shuhan is a Psychology student at the University of Ottawa, Canada, originally from China, and joins us through our partnership with AFS IEP Ghana. She will be supporting our work in women empowerment and children development through her international internship program.

Last week, in partnership with the Vineyard Foundation, we donated an industrial knitting and sewing machine to Ho Technical Institute (HTI) in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The donation fulfills a commitment made during an earlier visit to the school by Barry Euquan Knighton, President and Founder of the Vineyard Foundation, Raymond Anaglizukpe Amezado, Founder and President of the Fafali Organization, and Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister.

This project, supported by the The Vineyard Foundation, the Fafali Organization, and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, highlights our shared commitment to promoting TVET and practical skills development for young people.

At Fafali, we believe education must go beyond the classroom. Technical and vocational education equips young people with real-world skills, creates opportunities, and prepares them for the future.

When we invest in TVET, we invest in innovation, jobs, and stronger communities.

Five years of shaping young leaders has been an incredible journey. Now, it’s time to level up. 💼🌱

We are excited to welcome Barry Euquan Knighton to Ghana! 🇬🇭

Barry is in Ghana to commission projects funded by the The Vineyard Foundation in Ghana and Togo, and to lead our Teachers Summit in the Volta Region. Through this summit, local teachers will share ideas, learn new skills, and exchange knowledge to improve teaching and learning in our communities.

As a professor at the University of South Carolina and Director of Quality Assurance at the Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program, Barry brings incredible experience, leadership, and passion for education and child advocacy.

We are honored and grateful to have him in our midst as we continue creating opportunities and transforming lives together. 🙌✨

At Fafali, we are building future leaders beyond the classroom. ⛳️✨

Three out of the 8 ladies currently competing at the World Amateur Golf Ranking tournament at Achimota Golf Club are part of our junior golf program, and we could not be more proud of them. ❤️

Through our after-school programs, we create safe and transformative spaces where underserved children can learn, play, lead, and dream big.
