Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi has handed over responsibility as Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) to Commodore James Agambire in a brief ceremony at the School of Maritime Operations Auditorium in Nutekpor.
In his farewell speech, Commodore Asiedu-Larbi thanked God, the Military High Command and staff for their support during his tenure. He expressed appreciation for his reassignment as FOC Eastern Naval Command and encouraged his successor to remain confident in his leadership.
Commodore Agambire, in his acceptance remarks, requested the continued support of personnel. He promised to build on the achievements of his predecessors and work towards advancing the Command to greater heights.

Major General Charles Agyeman Prempeh has handed over authority to Brigadier General Cornelius Komla Lithur as the Commandant Ghana Military Academy (GMA) during a handing-over ceremony held at Whistler Barracks in Teshie.
In his farewell address, Major General Prempeh expressed gratitude to God for a successful military career. He congratulated Brigadier General Lithur on his appointment and urged personnel to offer the same support to the new Commandant.
He further advised officers to be exemplary leaders whose integrity remains unquestioned. He urged them to measure success not by wealth but by the positive influence they have on others, stressing the importance of purpose-driven leadership within the Armed Forces.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Kwadwo Opoku, and the Commanding Officer (CO) of the 4 Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Sarfo Kantanka Dapaah, have commissioned a recreational centre named Amponsem-Boateng for personnel at Complex Barracks.
The GOC expressed his gratitude to the CO and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the facility. He noted that the gym meets the physical needs of personnel and urged them to utilise its offerings fully.
Lieutenant Colonel Dapaah said the facility has been named after the late Lieutenant Colonel Richard Amponsem-Boateng, for nurturing the idea. The facility has guards' accommodation, junior ranks’ anteroom, a bar, an upper terrace for social events and a modern gymnasium.

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, has paid a familiarisation visit to the 37 Military Hospital to acquaint himself with the operations of the medical facility.
He was briefed on the operational, administrative and logistical challenges at the hospital where he took turns to advise the hospital administration to prioritise effective management and utilisation of internally generated funds to sustain its operations.
The CDS also emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in delivering healthcare.

The Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, has presided over the official transfer of Command from Brigadier General Isaac Nicholas Paintsil to Brigadier General Richard Kainyi Mensah at the Army Special Operations Brigade (ASOB) Headquarters in Burma Camp.
In a farewell address, Brigadier General Paintsil described change as a challenge and an opportunity for growth. He emphasised the Army's mission to build a force that redefines operational excellence, requiring sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering dedication to national security.
He expressed gratitude to God, the Military High Command, personnel and foreign partners for their support throughout his tenure. He praised the commitment and teamwork of the ASOB, urging members to uphold the ethics and creed of the Special Forces.

Brigadier General Joshua Amanor has officially taken over as Commander, Army Training Command (ATRAC). He received the Baton of Command from Brigadier General Stephen Parbey during a farewell ceremony held at Amanie Square, Whistler Barracks, in Teshie.
In his farewell address, Brigadier General Parbey expressed gratitude to the Military High Command, highlighting bold transformations at ATRAC headquarters and its training schools. He appreciated staff contributions and urged them to support Brigadier General Amanor in sustaining professionalism and further enhancing training standards.
He disclosed that he has had unforgettable and career-fulfilling experiences at the command and thanked staff officers, men and women, including Defence Civilian Staff of the command for making it possible for him to work diligently.

A 3-day medical outreach has been conducted at the Kumbungu District Assembly, Northern Region to boost Civil Military Cooperation between the Ghana Armed Forces and the United States Army Southern European Task Force Africa and the beneficiary community.
The outreach provided free health screenings, consultations, laboratory services, diagnoses and medications to over one thousand residents. Major Randy Nii Ofori Tawiah described the initiative as part of the broader goals of EXERCISE AFRICAN LION 2025 and encouraged consistent health checks.
The team, led by Captain Peter Darko Afari, donated medicines, toothbrushes, toothpaste and sanitary pads at Kumbungu Naa’s palace, Kumbungu SHS and Sunniya E A Primary.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area Mr Morro Kakpagu and Health Director Mr Brimah Farouk appreciated the support.

A high-powered Staff and Pre-deployment Reconnaissance team led by Brigadier General Frederick Dankyi Ntiri have paid a 5-day working visit to ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 3 Area of Operational Responsibility (AOR).
The visit was to enable the reconnaissance team obtain first-hand information about operations, administrative and logistics situation of GHANCOY in Guinea Bissau and to facilitate tactical decision making by GHANCOY 4.
As part his schedule, Brigadier General Ntiri had a durbar with troops, reiterated the importance of teamwork. He called for continued support for the Combat Team Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Mawuli Agboado to ensure mission success.

Ghana Armed Forces has inducted the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, the Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Gbetanu, Chief of the Naval Staff Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, the Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong and the Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal Joshua Mensah-Larkai into office.
Preaching under the theme "Called to Serve God and Country", during the induction service held at the Garrison Pentecost Church in Burma Camp, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, urged the new leadership of GAF to prioritise service to God and country, urging them to recognise the value in every individual.
The Defence Minister, Honourable Dr Edward Omane Boamah congratulated the inductees on their well-deserved appointments. He encouraged teamwork, discipline, and professionalism, expressing optimism that GAF would continue to uphold integrity, duty and dedication to service.
The inductees expressed their gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief of GAF, President John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to give their utmost best to ensure the safety and security of the country's territorial integrity.

The Director of Education, Colonel Michel Yao Borbi, has handed over leadership responsibility to Colonel Osman Shanun Zuneidu during a transfer of authority event held at the 5 Garrison Education Centre.
In his farewell address, Colonel Borbi highlighted achievements including a multipurpose canteen and office complex at Bawa Barracks and a self-help school project in Kamina Barracks.
He thanked facilitators and Defence Civilian Staff for their commitment and encouraged them to support Colonel Zuneidu’s vision. Colonel Zuneidu pledged to enhance the GAF educational framework and expressed gratitude to leadership, Officers, Soldiers and facilitators for their continued dedication.

The Central Command has conducted a five-day bush exercise codenamed EXERCISE SLOW START for participants of the Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Tactical Course (BNTC).
The field exercise was designed to enhance the tactical knowledge of the 55 participants of the course to be able to fight, win and survive in the battlefield.
Prior to the exercise, the Course Officer, Captain Gloria Osei urged participants to apply themselves to the training in order to be well equipped for the emerging security challenges the country faces.
