The Gender Mainstreaming Section of the Ghana Immigration Service launched an initiative in collaboration with Center for Migration Studies(CMS )and Migration for Development & Equality(MIDEQ) to train and dialogue with Women drawn from various law enforcement agencies on Gender inequalities Migrants are faced with at borders and integrating challenges as well as abuses Migrants face in the labour markets.
The one day capacity building initiative was chaired by the DCOI Maud Anima Quainoo,Head of Special Duties and Oversight Responsibilities to Public Affairs Department and President of the Immigration Ladies Association (IMMILAC).
The training featured seasoned speakers from private entities and top officials from selected security agencies.

The CGI, Kwame Asuah Takyi, (Esq.) led a delegation of officers from the Service to pay their last respect at the final funeral rites of IGP retired, H.E. James Y.A. Kwofie, at the Forecourt of the State House, in Accra.
