I strongly welcome and support H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s bold $270 million National Artificial Intelligence Strategy an important step toward positioning Ghana at the forefront of the global digital economy.
This investment, including a national AI computing centre and implementation support, signals Ghana’s readiness to lead in emerging technologies and attract global innovation partnerships.
Artificial Intelligence is not just the future it is the foundation of modern economies. With the right policies, youth-driven innovation, and strategic partnerships, Ghana can rise as a leading digital hub in Africa and beyond.
Through initiatives like the Gen Z AI Club, we are also preparing our young people with the skills needed to drive this transformation and compete globally.
Together, we are building a future where innovation, opportunity, and technology power Ghana’s growth.

I am proud to share that we have officially launched the Gen Z AI Club at the Ghana Embassy in Beijing an initiative aimed at empowering Ghanaian youth in China to actively participate in the global digital economy.
This initiative is driven by a simple but powerful belief: the future belongs to young people who are equipped with the right digital skills, innovation mindset, and global exposure.
Through the Gen Z AI Club, we are creating a platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation especially in areas such as artificial intelligence, technology, and digital entrepreneurship. Our goal is to ensure that Ghanaian students and young professionals are not just participants, but leaders in the evolving digital world.
As I continue my engagements with Ghanaian students in China, I am inspired by their creativity, energy, and readiness to contribute to Ghana’s development. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to youth empowerment, skills development, and positioning Ghana for the future of work.
Together, we are building a generation that is bold, innovative, and ready to transform Ghana. 🇬🇭✨

As I announced during the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September last year, I have initiated processes to table a resolution at the General Assembly in March this year, seeking global recognition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade as the gravest crime against humanity.
Reparatory justice will not be handed to us. Like independence, it must be secured through unity and determination.
In my report to the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State this morning on advancing the cause of justice and the payment of reparations to Africans and people of African descent, I observed that 2025, designated as the African Union Year of Justice through Reparations, has marked a turning point.
We have established the AU Coordination Team and Committee of Experts on Reparations, engaged global institutions from the UN to UNESCO, led conversations at major international fora across four continents, and reframed reparations as forward-looking instruments for justice and equity.
But our work is far from over. I called on all Member States to strengthen our institutions, establish national reparations commissions, and engage with the global community to secure apologies, restitution, and binding agreements.

Ahead of Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebrations, I had the honour of hosting a press soirée in Beijing to promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, democratic stability, and vast investment opportunities, while outlining activities scheduled for March 6.
Engaging leading Chinese media institutions, I reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening Ghana–China relations and invited strategic partnerships in key sectors including infrastructure, clean energy, IT and AI, healthcare, minerals processing, agriculture, tourism, and the creative arts.
As part of the celebrations, the Ghana Embassy in China will host a Business Forum to unlock new trade and investment opportunities, alongside an art exhibition featuring works by Ibrahim Mahama and other Ghanaian creatives, including Guinness World Records holder Ace Liam Nana Sam Ankrah. A fashion showcase by Nineteen57 and others will also highlight Ghana’s vibrant creative industry.
My team and I remain deeply grateful to the Chinese government and media for their continued support, and we warmly invite all partners to join us in celebrating Ghana’s 69th Independence Anniversary on March 6, as we deepen our strategic partnership with China.

🇬🇭 Ghana Joins the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) 🇨🇳
Today in Beijing, I had the honour of signing the Convention of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) on behalf of the Republic of Ghana, officially making Ghana the 39th member and a founding member of this important global body.
I was privileged to do so under the authority of Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, during a meeting with Mr. Qi Dahai of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ghana strongly supports the IOMed initiative, which promotes peaceful dispute resolution through mediation an approach that aligns with our long-standing commitment to diplomacy, dialogue, and international cooperation. This milestone marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership as we work together to strengthen global peace and mutually beneficial relations among nations.
I am grateful to our Chinese partners for their leadership in establishing this platform and look forward to Ghana’s active participation in advancing mediation efforts worldwide.

On the 16th of January 2026, I had the privilege of officially presenting my credentials to the President of the People's Republic of China, H.E Xi Jinping.
This milestone cements my assumption of office as Ghana's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People's Republic of China, I embrace this opportunity goldenly in my recommitment to President John Dramani Mahama's reset agenda to serving the good people of Ghana and her associate partners.
Together, I look forward to greater partnerships and collaborations that will be mutually beneficial to our two nations.
