The fire incident that occurred at Bubuashie - Atiko Junction, near the SDA Church, involved a domestic residence used as a warehouse for vehicle spare parts.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly to the distress call, deploying four (4) fire pumps from the Industrial Area, Circle, National Headquarters, and Dansoman Fire Stations to the scene. The first fire crew arrived swiftly in response to a distress call received on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Through the dedicated efforts of the firefighting personnel, the fire was successfully brought under control and fully extinguished.
Unfortunately, the warehouse and its contents were destroyed by the fire. However, adjoining structures were protected and salvaged, preventing further losses.

Regrettably, one firefighter sustained injuries in the line of duty and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where medical attention is being provided. We wish the injured firefighter a speedy and full recovery.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
NADMO commends the bravery, professionalism, and swift response of the Ghana National Fire Service and urges the public to adhere strictly to fire safety measures, especially when residential premises are used for commercial purposes.
