CMC Ladies Club Launches Pink October 2026 Campaign

The CMC Ladies Club has officially launched its Pink October Month Celebration 2026, in collaboration with COCOBOD Ladies Club, beginning a month-long program dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education, and support.

Held on Thursday, 1 October 2026, the opening event marked the start of activities under the theme, “Together in Pink: Raising Awareness, Inspiring Hope, Saving Lives.”

The launch featured opening remarks highlighting the significance of Pink October, the unveiling of the month’s theme and color-day activities, and the distribution of pink ribbons and pins to staff as visible symbols of awareness and solidarity.

A key highlight of the program was an educational health talk on understanding breast cancer, its risk factors and prevention, providing participants with useful information to encourage greater awareness and proactive attention to their health.

The Week One activities set the tone for a month focused not only on wearing pink, but also on promoting meaningful conversations, encouraging informed health choices, and standing together with individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

As Pink October continues, the campaign reminds us that awareness matters, knowledge empowers, and collective action can inspire hope.

As we step into a new month, Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited extends warm wishes to our staff, stakeholders, partners, customers and the wider public.

May the month of October inspire renewed commitment to professionalism, collaboration, excellence and service as we continue working together to support Ghana’s cocoa industry and contribute to its sustainable growth.

October also marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reminding us of the importance of health and wellbeing in our workplaces, families and communities. We encourage greater awareness, regular screening and early detection, while standing in solidarity with individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

STATEMENT ON MEDIA REPORTS CONCERNING “WISDOM DOGBEY”

The attention of the Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited (CMC) has been drawn to media publications reporting that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has declared an individual identified as “Wisdom Dogbey” wanted in connection with alleged offenses of defrauding by false pretenses and money laundering.

CMC wishes to clarify that the individual referred to in these reports is not Wisdom Dogbey, the Managing Director of Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited.

We have noted that some headlines and publications, by using the name “Wisdom Dogbey” without further identification, may create an unintended association with the Managing Director of CMC.

CMC therefore urges media organizations, digital platforms and the general public to exercise care in reporting and sharing information concerning individuals with similar or identical names, and to verify identities before attributing allegations to persons who are not the subject of such reports.

CMC remains committed to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, transparency and responsible communication in the discharge of its mandate.

Inside CMC's storage sheds, cocoa bags are stacked in countable configurations on wooden pallets.

Deliberate alleyways are maintained between stacks and walls, enabling inspection without disturbance, ensuring airflow, and facilitating stock counts conducted at least four times per crop year.

Each stack carries a tag: category, quantity, type, and the handlers responsible for its management.

Depot Keepers maintain stack history records that log every fumigation date, evacuation schedule, and factory delivery. Nothing moves without documentation.

First in, first out. No exceptions.
