Your work for women and girls matters. But impact should not happen in isolation.

Across Ghana, many are driving change in their own spaces. When we come together, that work becomes stronger, more visible, and far-reaching.

Women in Development and Advocacy Ghana connects practitioners, advocates, and those committed to development practice. It is a space to learn, share, and build meaningful partnerships that strengthen your work.

Whether you are just starting or have years of experience, there is room for your voice and your contribution.

Join a network that supports your growth and amplifies your impact.
Visit www.widaghana.org and take your place in a community working for lasting change.

April opens a new chapter, and we welcome it with purpose.

At Women in Development and Advocacy Ghana, a new month is a reminder that progress is built day by day. Across communities, women and girls continue to lead, to challenge barriers, and to shape a more just and inclusive society.

This month, we renew our commitment to:
• advancing women’s leadership and voice
• protecting the rights and dignity of every girl
• strengthening opportunities for those too often left behind

To all our community members, your work and trust continue to move this mission forward.

May April bring clarity, courage, and steady progress in all that we do!
Happy New Month.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Today, Women in Development and Advocacy Ghana celebrates the strength, courage, and leadership of women everywhere. Under the theme “Give to Gain,” we are reminded that when women invest in one another through knowledge, solidarity, and action, we all move forward.

Give your voice. Give your support. Give your leadership.
The gain is a more just, equal, and powerful future for women and girls.

Happy International Women’s Day. 💜✊🏾

I keep replaying the good times, grasping at them like sand slipping through my fingers. Does he remember how he said I was his exact female version and how we laughed so hard that day? It felt like the universe had conspired to give us a perfect moment. Now, I wonder, was it as special to him as it was to me

The Harsh Reality of Ghanaian Youth: The Rise of Scam and Hookup Culture 27/03/2025

The struggle to become self-reliant, get an education, or secure a decent job is a harsh reality for many. For young people from disadvantaged families or those lacking parental care, these struggles are magnified. The idea that feminists are bitter or anti-family is outdated and untrue.

Feminism is not a Battle, It is a Balance Feminism in the African context is often misunderstood. Many people assume that feminists are angry women who despise men or reject cultural values, but that could not be further from the truth. Fe…
