LGH is an initiative of CA to create the platform for children to learn about the environmental issues that persistently confront the country.

Little Green Hands is an annual program organized by Conservation Alliance International-Ghana, a not-for-profit environmental organization. CA has over the years brought together the people and skills needed in tackling environmental issues across West Africa.

Our today is Mrs. Karen Bel, Former Officer, The Regional , , and Office for West and Central Africa at U.S. Embassy Ghana.

During her tenure, she actively supported the Little Green Hands Initiative of Conservation Alliance to inculcate environmental values in children. She is a nautural resouce enthusiat and believes that, "The resources at our disposal, are not for us but we hold it in trust for the futture generation".

Can cocoa farmers obtain additional benefits aside growing and selling cocoa?

Farmers at Bia in the Western Region of Ghana have increased tree cultivation on their cocoa farms as a result of the improved tree ownership program by Forestry Commission (FC). Farmers can now register and own the trees they cultivate to enable them benefit from it in the long term.
