The Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), led by the CEO, Ms. Margaret Ansei, welcomed a delegation from GIZ Ghana headed by Dr. Dirk Abmann for a courtesy visit to commemorate one year of Ms. Ansei’s leadership at GEA.

The engagement reaffirmed the strong partnership and shared commitment between GEA and GIZ Ghana toward advancing the growth and sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those led by women and young people.

Discussions also focused on the PSInno Programme and explored the proposed Northern Enterprise Hub — an initiative aimed at expanding access to business development support, innovation, and market opportunities across Northern Ghana.

Together, GEA and GIZ Ghana continue to strengthen their collaboration in driving a more inclusive, resilient, and competitive enterprise ecosystem for Ghana’s economic transformation.

The CEO of GEA had a productive engagement with representatives of the United Nations Industry Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Kaizen Regional Expansion Project under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Technical Cooperation Programme as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen enterprise development and institutional excellence within Ghana’s MSME ecosystem.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the implementation of Kaizen initiatives across Africa, particularly through the work of the Kaizen Excellence Center (KEC) of Ethiopia, one of the continent’s leading national Kaizen institutions.

Discussions highlighted GEA’s Kaizen training methodology, delivery structure, sustainability model, monitoring and evaluation systems, and the impact of the Ghana National Kaizen Awards in promoting productivity, competitiveness, and continuous improvement among MSMEs.

Additionally, both parties discussed possible areas of future cooperation, including opportunities for GEA management and staff to participate in multi-country workshops and third-country Kaizen training programmes in Addis Ababa and Accra to further strengthen institutional capacity and regional collaboration.

The CEO of the Ghana Enterprises Agency, Margaret Ansei, was represented by the Deputy CEO, Prince Mamoud Iddrisu, at the Business Networking Week International (BNWI) 2026 held in Italy.

Organized by MACFRUT under the I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Project, the event brought together selected entrepreneurs and key stakeholders to promote internationalization, strengthen Africa–Italy business collaboration, and create sustainable business opportunities for MSMEs across Africa.

This year’s edition focused exclusively on Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and was supported by the INSPIRE Project, an initiative funded by the Italian Cooperation to enhance MSME competitiveness, innovation, and professional integration within Ghana’s business landscape.

Led by the Deputy CEO, a delegation of 10 Ghanaian MSMEs participated in the event, with 8 of the businesses being women-led, underscoring the growing impact and contribution of women entrepreneurs to Ghana’s economic development.

At GEA, we remain committed to fostering strategic international partnerships, expanding global opportunities for Ghanaian businesses, and empowering MSMEs to thrive and compete on the global stage.

The CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency,Ms Margaret Ansei participated in a high level World Bank engagement, organized in collaboration with the Government of Ghana, as part of the Business Ready 2026 initiative.

Discussions focused on three sectors critical to the success of John Dramani Mahama’s 24 Hour Economy vision: food processing, light manufacturing, and trade facilitation. The Participants examined regulatory and administrative barriers and outlined evidence based reforms to deliver measurable impact for businesses across the country.
