MoGCSP’s 2022 ANNUAL SUMMIT
The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) will hold its Fourth Edition of the MoGCSP Annual Summit with key and relevant stakeholders from Tuesday, 15th to Wednesday, 16th November, 2022 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICI)
The theme for this year’s Summit is: “Strengthening Resource Mobilization for Effective Social Service Delivery”.
This year’s Summit will allow key stakeholders to share ideas on how to mobilize revenue to complement social sector programmes that do not get enough funding from the Government of Ghana.
It will also help provide social services to low-income families who are not on the already existing programmes.
The objectives of the Summit are to:
* Have a broad understanding and agreement on the key priority issues facing the financing of social protection and child protection programmes.
* Adopt strategies for more efficient expenditures on social services (e.g., Integrated Social Services, ISS) and identify new and innovative strategies for resource mobilization for the social sector.
* Adopt strategies for greater social accountability in social sector expenditure processes to enhance the effective use of resources.
The Summit will be hosted and coordinated by MoGCSP with the support from key Development Partners.
The Agencies under the Ministry will also play a key role in the facilitation of the Summit.
The Summit will be attended by Ministers of State, Parliamentarians, Development Partners, CSO’s, NGO’s, Faith Based Organisations, Media, Academia, MDAs, MMDAs, Cooperate Bodies, Market Queens and Women, Research Institutions, Students, Philanthropist among others.
