DACF MONITORING TEAM VISIT'S ANMA
On Tuesday 21st April 2026, a team of officials from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) secretariat paid a successful working visit to the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly as part of ongoing special monitoring exercise across Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA’s)
The DACF's primary objective is to support developmental activities of local governments, ensuring accountability and fostering sustainable development that benefits communities nationwide.

ANMA HOLDS FIRST QUARTER MPCU MEETING
On Thursday 16th April 2026, the Municipal Planning and Coordinating Unit (MPCU) met its stakeholders at the Assembly’s auditorium.
On the agenda were the presentations of the first quarter reports by heads of the various decentralized departments and units.
Decentralized departments in attendance included Urban Roads, NCCE, Agric, NADMO, Fire Service, NIA, Development Planning,Ghana Immigration Service etc.

AKUAPEM NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
Members of the Executive Committee (EXECO) of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly on Wednesday 15th April 2026, converged at the conference hall of the assembly to deliberate on reports emanating from the various sub-committee meetings namely the Finance and Administration (F&A), Works, Justice and Security, Social Services, Agric, Environment and Sanitation, Development Planning as well as Tourism Sub-Committees.

ANMA HOLDS JUSTICE AND SECURITY SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
The Justice and Security Sub-Committee of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly held its scheduled meeting on Thursday
9th April, 2026 at the municipal conference hall.
The main agenda included the construction of police snap check point at Saforo as well as mounting of road cautionary billboards along the Mamfe - Saforo road amongst others.

ANMA HOLDS DEVELOPMENT PLANNING SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
Members of the Development Planning Sub-Committee of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly on Tuesday 7th April 2026, converged at the conference hall of the assembly.
On the agenda were a discussion on the development of local economy on cassava processing as well as harnessing the value chain amongst other pertinent issues.

ANMA HOLDS WORKS SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
Members of the Works Sub-Committee of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly on Thursday 2nd April, 2026 converged at the conference hall of the assembly to deliberate on various issues including updates on District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) projects, the general state of roads within the municipality, state of District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) equipment and several other pertinent matters.

ANMA HOLDS ENVIRONMENT AND SANITATION SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
Members of the Environment and Sanitation Sub-Committee met at the conference hall of the Municipal Assembly on Tuesday 31st March 2026 to discuss and suggest innovative ways of addressing Sanitation issues within the Akuapem North Municipality.
Other topics deliberated upon included the Gazetting of the assembly By-laws, Observation of the National Sanitation activities as well as Inadequate staffing in the Environmental Health Unit and its impact on Sanitation management in the municipality.

ANMA HOLDS FIRST SOCIAL SERVICES SUB COMMITTEE MEETING
Members of the Social Services Sub-Committee of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly met on Wednesday 1st April 2026 at the conference hall of the assembly to discuss various social issues including the creation of awareness on Foster Care amongst others.

STREET LIGHTS PROJECT
The Street Lights Project (SLP) continued in Tutu Akuapem as part of intensive efforts to improve visibility, enhance security, and support economic activities across the Akuapem North Municipality.
The initiative forms part of a broader commitment to ensuring a more secure environment for all residents. No community will be left behind as this important project will be extended to every corner of the municipality.
The Presby Secondary School (PRESEC) - Mampong, earlier on benefited from the (SLP).

MCE INSPECTS DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS IN ABOABO AKUAPEM
As part of continuous efforts to promote development and improve living conditions across the Akuapem North Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. John Evans Kumordzi embarked on a working tour of Aboabo and surrounding communities.
The tour focused on the extension of electricity to underserved areas, assessment of the community foot bridge as well as inspection of the road at Tei Nkwanta. The MCE also inspected the ongoing construction of CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) compound at Abenta amongst others.

MCE JOINS OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY OF AKUAPEM ODWIRA FESTIVAL
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. John Evans Kumordzi was honoured to join the Akuapem Traditional Council for the official launch of the 200th anniversary of the Akuapem Odwira Festival at the Okuapehene’s Palace (Ofori Kuma Fie) in Akropong Akuapem.
The launch marks the beginning of a historic celebration that reflects the rich heritage, unity, and enduring traditions of the Akuapem people. For two centuries, the Odwira Festival has served as a symbol of purification, thanksgiving, and renewal within the traditional communities.

PICTURE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY INTER SCHOOL'S QUIZ COMPETITION.
Nana Ankobea Takyiwa School emerged overall winners of the quiz competition, followed by Akuapem Hills Preparatory School as 1st runners-up and New Mangoase Presby JHS picking up the 2nd runners-up position.
